On tour since 1921!

In 1921, Leopold Michel Sr. founded the Michel transport company in Kleinrinderfeld. The company operated quarries and transported regional "Muschelkalk" stone and other building materials in the Lower Franconia region.

Leopold Michel jun. took over the company in 1961. The Kleinrinderfeld site was built in 1964 and a warehouse was added in 1976.

Rainer Michel, a graduate in business administration (FH), joined the family business in 1986 and finally took over the management ten years later. He modernized the company fundamentally before the decision was made to relocate to the Mainfrankenpark in 2006 in order to meet the requirements of the modern logistics industry.

The founder's great-granddaughter, Kathrin Hegger, has been working at the company since 2019 and is the fourth generation to take over. With her commitment and innovative strength, she is continuing the tradition of the family business and has set herself the task of leading the Michel company into a successful future.
